Radio services used by our team.
Our REACT Team uses radios in the General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS)
band on:
- 462.600 MHz,
- 462.675 MHz, primary,
...as well as other GMRS frequencies,
...four UHF simplex itinerant business frequencies:
- 464.500 MHz,
- 464.550 MHz,
- 469.500 MHz,
- 469.550 MHz,
...& a commercial repeater in south Austin(use donated
by Mr. Olen Cothron of Cothron's Safe & Lock, Inc.), on:
- 461.675 MHz,
...and, since most of our members are licensed ham
operators, has an Amateur Radio Club Call Sign:
K5TCR
(Travis Co. REACT Amateur Auxiliary, now an affiliated member of the ARRL),
with a repeater in northwest Austin on:
- 442.600 MHz.
