How to Contact us...

Our members are actively linked through the City of Austin's Emergency Operations Center via alpha-numeric "AWACS", or "Austin Warning And Communication System", pagers. These pagers are used to alert members during emergencies which may result in activating the Team or requiring other action by specific officers or members. They are also used to alert members of dangerous weather conditions moving into the area. The pagers can also receive short e-mail messages.

Some of us are experimenting with EchoLink software from www.echolink.org, so watch for us on that program as well.

Team Meetings:

Our meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. Our current meeting location is at the Jim's Restaurant on Burnet Road (phone: 512-837-1119), 1/2-block west of US Highway 183 North and Burnet Road. You may want to contact a Team officer or member to confirm our meeting location date and time, just in case a last minute change was caused by circumstances beyond our control.

The December meeting is always our Christmas dinner, which is usually in conjunction with the Zilker Trail of Lights

Anyone interested in emergency communications is welcome to attend any of our meetings whether you are already a radio operator or not.
