Sunday morning, November 12th - Pat Knight, AD5BR, of Hill County REACT, is coordinating ham radio operators on behalf of AARO Ham Club for the San Antonio Marathon, held in downtown San Antonio. Not a good morning to be playing tourist in downtown SA, but a great morning to be a ham radio operator using your radio skills and getting a free t-shirt. Contact Pat direct at 210-273-5927 or via email if you want to help. One of the representatives from San Angelo is already planning to stay over for this event and many of the local REACT members are already assigned positions or duties. About 4 dozen radio operators are utilized. This event uses HAM RADIO ONLY. It should be over by 1pm at the latest, and the group will be getting together for lunch. |
