Moments in Texas State REACT Council's History...

DEDICATION AND THANKS!

The following accounting of our State Council's history was dedicated to Richard Pratz who formatted the final corrections and additions. His sixteen-year involvement with the Council made his critical reading of the draft doubly helpful. Without his assistance, in countless ways, publication of this history would not have been possible. Richard passed away in June 1999, so this page is dedicated to his memory and his years of work to build up REACT, not only in this state, but within the REACT International organization world wide.

Every person named in this history deserves a special commendation of gratitude from everyone who has ever been assisted by a REACT monitor in Texas. Some were not listed specifically by name but their tireless hours of monitoring and dedicated service to their communities has given Texans that "We Care" attitude shared by REACTors everywhere, and appreciated by their communities. No one was intentionally overlooked or left out of this history.

History accounts included for the years of 1976 thru 1993, were compiled by Keren Pratz of Bell County REACT, who served as Council Historian thru 1993.
